Those boutique amps just keep getting smaller and smaller, but who knew that a handwired 1-watt amp would be coming from a company like Peavey? Check out their "Have it Your Way" amp line, built in the USA with whatever specifications you desire -- knobs, tubes, anything.

Pfarley10 - Of course we keep years of archival videos on our site, but I'm not sure where you're being linked from. We have lots of new vids each week that we link in our newsletter, Facebook, and digital mag. Help me understand your complaint by letting me know where you were linked from! Thanks!

Are you showing me a clip from 2008. Yep guess you are. Trying to tell me you can't afford a new video. I gonna cancel my likes and sub to this mag. This is a good lesson in how to fail in business.

This is a shot in the arm for all in the USA. Peavey has had their Chevettes and Corvettes in the past, but this concept is taking money out of my pocket. I was going to do the same, and they beat me to the finish line. Support them all the way. Rebadging this line may have been a plus. No sweat, I'm in. This is the real deal in people that care in amplification. Find your electronic tech friend and ask him what parts are best. Peavey has it. Nice job.

I'm not a big Peavey fan, but I give 'em credit for not outsourcing all their production to China. I'm sure some Peavey gear is built elsewhere, but hopefully they will keep some production in the US for a few more years.

Buy a used Epiphone valve junior for $99 on ebay...get a plexi SE circuit board from guitar amplifier PCB's for $30...buy a new transformer and some caps, tubes, and resistors...follow simple directions with a soldering iron and have a smoking hot 5W BEAST for $300 that will blow this amp away.

Hmmm...Peavey? Tone? To me Peavey equals rock solid build quality. (At least when they were made in the USA.) But good tone? The Valve King series was decent as long as you stayed with the bigger amps. The smaller VK "Royal 8" sounded horrible. And the Windsor series...what a total disappointment. Ugh! Maybe they got it right with this one. It certainly would be great to have an "affordable" hand wired amp.
