Rename this to the Valve Jr. Kit overview and demonstration with 15 seconds mentioning the Blackheart and Holy Terror kits and no mention of Fender at all. Two things bother me about these kits. First, Mercury Magnetics is pretty much telling you that the stock transformers in all the amps that they offer kits for are junk. You take the old ones out and they are paperweights or something to sell on eBay to DIYers. Second, the amount of money that the stock transformers add to the total cost of an amp is quite high and if you add the cost of the kits that are near to $300 then you've bumped yourself up into the next level of quality in the amp chain. In the end I think the MM kits are a good idea but I'd rather see Epiphone, Fender, Crate and Orange quit putting shoddy components in their amps and perhaps offer an upgraded model themselves. I have a Tiny Terror that I'd like to get the MM kit for but for another added %50 of the original cost I'm that much closer to the hand made amps that everyone drools over.
