let's see... I have all 4 line 6 pedals. Even had the verbzilla at one point(hate the shimmer U2 verb btw). Had my line 6 dl-4 modded for improved sound. Might do the same to my mm-4. The fm-4 is something I can't get into all the time. The dm-4 is interesting and has some nice models on there but can sound a bit phony. That weekend I walked into the line 6 booth and the guy on the left tells me that they have improved some of the models. He also told me a trick to put a cable into the second output of a modeler pedal to improve fullness of the effects(it works) if not playing in stereo. The tiny view of the screens and the switches line 6 uses aren't that great. I don't like having to tap over a switch to get to another. I didn't like the sound of the strat single coil pickups(prefer hb myself) they had a les paul custom right there, should have used that. At the end, sounds like hes going into prog rock territory. If you like pink floyd, you might like the pedal. But most of the effects I prefer are subtle, something that can be hard to hear in a loud band. There does seem to be a certain line 6 character about their pedals that I can hear even when bypassed. Boss sounds different. There was an amp that was being demonstrated at the show(the one made from some texas amp company) and he was using the dirt modeler pedals(rat, tube screamer, etc...) to show his amp. It sounded better than this vid. Vinatge 30's in a line 6 amp is an epic fail.
