What's with the effects loop issue. My much more expensive Victoria Regal II has no effects loop and it sounds pretty darn good with pedals.

Is it any louder than the 60 on the clean channel? No effects loop? No thanks...

Dan, maybe I was harsh calling DeMarco an idiot....he's just annoying IMHO. I say that after seeing multiple demo's by him.
Check out Alex Hutchings demo on the 80X. There is a tasteful player with style.

Hey Fred! Jealous are we? Johnny can play ANYTHING. You must not have seen a lot of his Roland (and BOSS) demos. Admittedly if this is the first time you've seen him I can understand why you reacted that way. He's hardly at his best here. His brother is no slouch either.

Get that idiot DeMArco off the screen. Does he play ANYTHING resembling music or just shred all day???????
Love my Cube 60. The 80 with a looper sounds great. Now all they need is a USB port......just GET somebody that plays music to demo these things. This is ANNOYING!!!!!!

I have a Cube 30 that I got when they first came out. I love it. I upgraded the speaker to an Eminence Ramrod and improved the tone dramatically. I highly recommend changing the speaker out. I've never played through the Cube 60,but the Cube 30 sounds awesome with distortion pedals. Anyways, the Cube 80X sounds awesome. Now if I could only play guitar like Johnny DeMarco I'd be all set. My God! The guy is AMAZING1!!

Well...all the effects are in the amp...theoretically you wouldn't need a loop...just footswitches. The effects are designed with the amp...I don't think the cubes are great with pedals anyway. At that rate, why not have them break up the modulation effects into individual controls...that would be even better...especially with a gigging amp, who wants to have to go to the amp while onstage to engage or adjust?

I love my Cube 60 also. I wish Roland would come out with a 100 watt head with an effects loop, amp models, but no effects that would be totally awesome
