I think they look terrible.
Most unrealistic neck wear I have ever seen.
I suppose it might appeal to someone that wants a carbon copy relic, but come on, for those prices they should be a lot better looking relics than what's being offered.

My customers have waited for years for Fender to offer an affordable Relic'd guitar or bass! I believe this is the answer. I currently have over a dozen vinatge Fender's in my personel collection, but my go to bass every gig is my '64 Jazz Bass Relic! It's one of my best sounding basses and there's nothing like the feel of a broken-in guitar. I'm glad Fender is using a nitro finish on these and I expect the Mexican made Road Worn's to sell very well judging by all the inquiries I have been recieving.

are thes Road Worn guitars made in the US or in Mexico?

I look at it as just another finish option, like sparkle or bowling ball. It's not for everyone but apparently someone likes it.

For the life of me I cannot understand paying a premium for a new beaten up guitar. My 72 strat and 78 LP are both in premo condition and I went to great pains to keep them that way. Now, Fender's marketing goops want me to shell out premium dollars for something I've fought hard not to have!?!?!?
