PG's Brett Petrusek is On Location at NAMM '09 where he visits the Cornford Amps booth. In this segment, we get to hear and see some smokin' licks and tasty chops from Guthrie Govan as he plays through the Roadhouse 50 Head, which is Cornford's latest 50 watt offering. In addition, we get to see their MK50II and Richie Kotzen signature models.

This is probably one of the best demos on your site! I agree with the first guys comment about some of the videos sounding great and others sound like crap! I don't think that the problem is with the guitar or the amp!

Why is it that most of these PG videos sound amazing but some sound like a**? This one, sounds, ummmm, freaking amazing. And as has been pointed out, the amp is behaving. Just imagine if they were allowed to crank it at NAMM.

Several companies do it on a small scale. Last year Kustom had one built for the demo of the Triple Cross. The designer, James Brown, did the demo. Hughes & Kettner had one for the Switchblade also. Altho' they were a little cramped, it was great to escape the outrageous ambient noise of the show to hear a demo. I guess only the big boys upstairs can afford to have a real theater. I think space is a big issue at NAMM too, it's already too big for the ACC. That's one of the reasons we didn't go this year, too crowded, didn't miss the noise hangover either. Vegas Convention Center would be cool, plenty of room, plenty of hotels, plenty of distractions, closer to an airport...

somebody needs to build a facility with nice, soundproofed, listening chambers for the various amp people to set up and crank in.
I can't believe people expect us to make any kind of decisions when the amp police and the
limitations of camera mics let us hear so little. The amp companies could pay a fee to set up there, and you could charge a small fee at the door. The guy who builds that could get the Namm show forever.
Las Vegas, anybody?
