Hi All: I am a loyal Collings guy. Living in Austin, been to the factory, Bill and his talented crew helped make me three beautiful guitars, a I-35 (a prototype, styled like a 335 but smaller body) w/ vintage white finish with gold hardware, a I-35 w/ Lollar P-90s' (his first like that) with a Gold top style finish, and the CL-DLX with a flame top Bill called "sick!" when we selected it, plus an amazing rosewood neck Bill selected for me. I Sold the '59 LP Reissue and have not missed it ONE day, or my old '68 335. Really. These guitars are special and play superbly, every note intonates perfectly and rings true. Can't say enough good things. Try them and you will see what I mean. Words don't do this justice. In 50 years everyone will be wanting old Collings guitars the way Gibson's are sought after today.
