PG's Chris Burgess is On Location in Frankfurt, Germany, where he visits the Hagen Sound booth to check out Eike's UBM Cab Rotator. In this video, we see his device that spins cabs in a manner of silent rotation to produce natural, chorusing and flanging tones.

Bet it'd be REAL neat to watch when the straps work loose & sends a nice pair of 412 cabs thru the spin cycle! You just KNOW it'll happen eventually. With some mirrors & lights, it would look neat on an arena stage tho....

Looks practical only for studio work, IMO. I gig with a H&K tube rotosphere for this sound on the stage, but in stomp-box format.

I guess it gets the job done if you're looking for a sound THAT specific, but that must be one of the most impractical pieces of gear I've seen in quite a while. great idea, but the only use for that thing is for very large setups and probably not worth half the money it costs.

If you think this is dumb you obviously have no idea that KISS ever existed. Over the top, baby. Over the top. That's what it's all about. Get about four of these on a stage. Hell ya.

Wonder what kind of effect you'd get by rotating the guitar player, or perhaps the audience. Cool!

I'm sorry but our friend here had a bit too much time on his hands here...Nice gimmick, but who in the world is gonna travel with these things?

This strikes me as incredibly absurd... Jonniepain is correct, quite possibly the stupidest thing ANY of us has ever seen.
