PG's Chris Burgess is On Location in Frankfurt, Germany, for Musikmesse '09 where he visits the BSM Treble Boosters booth and talks with Bernd Meiser of BSM. In this video segment, we get to see and hear two new pedals from BSM; the RPA Major and the J-Fuzz. The RPA Major RPA "Major" model is the answer to many customer calls, demanding the hard, aggressive Ritchie Blackmore stage sound of the 70?s, without the need to get their amp heavily modified. The RPA Major offers a lot more gain compared to the stock RPA model with tons of crunch and a higher level of aggression. For the RPA Major, BSM had the idea to not only rebuild Blackmore's AIWA preamp stage during the "Burn" tour, but to also integrate the important high-pass function with the original cutoff frequency.
The J-Fuzz is a silicon-powered Fuzz-booster and packs a gritty punch for any signal chain.

Peter, thanks for pointing this out ! Whopper, I had the pleasure to spent some days with Chris and Joe at the Musikmesse, I´m the guy on the video with the horrible English :) Chris wanted to catch up the international flair at the Musikmesse, so he had the great idea to do this bi-lingual video interview. But he definately did not needed me as a translator, his German is very solid and I´m pretty sure he understood everything Bernd Meiser said.

Whopper...actually Chris Burgess does speak and understand some German....he also is a Ph.D. candidate in medieval literature and can probably play a lute...to say nothing of being skilled at jousting...also a hell of a guitar player and writer....all true (except for the jousting part)...e.g.no whoppers.....thanks for reading/seeing PG...Best, Peter Sprague, Premier Guitar

I like how Chris Burgess nods while Bernd Meiser speaks as if he understands what he is saying.

I just got my first BSM pedal this week and I love it! Got myself the RG Rory Gallagher model and it's proudly sitting in my chain as we speak...well, type. Great sound, can't say enough good things about it!
