PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Nashville, TN, for Summer NAMM '09 where he visits the Aurora Strings booth. In this segment we hear about the science behind Aurora's coated color strings. Through their proprietary designs, Aurora has developed the ability to wrap strings with a color coating that they say creates the best-sounding, longest-lasting coated string possible. Also, you can set up custom sets and color combinations.

color comes off the unwound strings where the string meets the fret. not bad strings there are better

I use them now. In fact, I use a different color for each string on my Gibson LP Junior. It looks cool and it sounds great.

I wonder if the color stays on the string rather than dusting the pickups. Looks interesting.
