PG's Chris Burgess is On Location in Nashville, TN, for Summer NAMM '09 where he visits the LSL Instruments booth. In this segment, we get introduced to some old-school, t-style guitars. T-style picker Matt Rae walks us through some tones that the LSL T-bones can produce. They feautre swamp ash bodies, "C" profile maple necks, LSL custom-wound pickups and all the metal parts, hardware and fretboards are manually aged to create a near authentic played, not beaten appearance.

I'm impressed. Can't have too many Tele's. Gotta go to the website and see if they make Lefty Models. I know this drill!

You're probably right there Dan. You wouldn't be able to tell the prices, finish or brand. You would, however, be able to tell which guitar was great and which were lacking. That's the important feature I would be concerned about.

Oh and did you notice how their logo's font closely mimics that of G&L's?

I can appreciate any person's talent because I don't have any myself. But get 100 builders together with their best Tele-style model, have a good guitarist play through the same amp with each model and ask a panel of blindfolded experts which guitar is made by Fender, which is the most affordable, which is the most expensive (I'm betting on Michael DeTemple!) which are made with nitro, which have Fralins, which have Lollars, which have, well, you know the drill! Good luck with that.
