PG's Jordan Wagner's latest review featured in Premier Guitar's October 2009 issue is the BC Rich 40th Anniversary Eagle. Read the written review.

For the 40th collection, they chose to recreate the first four original electric guitar designs (Eagle, Bich, Mockingbird, Seagull) out of the innovative minds of Bernie Rico and his staff of designers. Each guitar feature specifications that closely mimic those appearing in the earliest B.C. Rich catalogs from the '70s; neck-through construction, solid Koa bodies and exclusive electronics.

The Eagle's body is made of koa wood and features a bevel-style top. It comes loaded with Grover Super Rotomatic tuners, jumbo frets, BC Rich Quad bridge, DiMarzio Dual Sound humbuckers, which can be switched between series-parallel and single-coil operations.

In the way on 07/16/2012	Nice guitar! I wonder what it sounds like... Just kidding! Must be the microphone and the positioning of it. An amp that costs that much cannot possibly sound like a circular saw through a cheap ham radio concotion. I know it's not the guitar... Good right hand technique, by the way!

Elstringsio on 11/11/2009	As a pro guitarist, I would recommend that this video be re-done and the guit should be played through either an old Marshall or Fender combo cranked on 10. And lets just hear some straight chords and some singing lead lines so we know what we are buying for $4,000.00.

Rick on 10/30/2009	They look okay... the originals looked better and based on this example here, sounded a whole lot better. I agree with Fett, the two distortion riffs sound identical with the exception of #2 being a smidgeon more treble-ish. BIG DEAL! I have a 1980 first run six-in-line Aria pro II TS-600 Thor-Sound Series, which blows this BC Rich away. Has pretty much the same layout of features, but they REALLY DO alter the sound on each seperate setting. Awesome guitar! Wish I could find another 1 or 2 TS-600 in pristine shape. I stuck a Kahler on mine, would keep #2 Stock...and #3 would put EMGs etc on it. :)

Fett on 09/28/2009	No offense and maybe it's my headphones, I'm usually not a negative guy about gear and I know that it could be a lot of factors but the first two distortion riffs sounded identical even after all the switching. Not to mention it was thin and grainy. The clean was thin and weak too. Is it the guitar or the amp? The mic or what? But he went through a lot to show what the guitar was supposed to sound like and so on, but that wasn't pleasant. Not to mention how much switching had to be done in order to get it to..uh...sound the same.
Gene on 09/25/2009	I have one of the last eagles that they made in 85 I love it NJ Classic series acoustic and electric sounds great and is easy to play.
Brian Knapp on 09/24/2009	I have an 80's B.C. Rich Eagle. Nice guitar but there are two many knobs for me. It is easy to play though, compared to most guitars I've tried, which makes it worth buying to me. I never have understood how all the knobs work so this video review was helpful.
