Shame on you, Carlos was given the gift of getting to our hearts when he plays, whether he does it with one note or many, no one else has ever made my heart happy like he does. It is as if the music goes straight through you and rests on your heart and brings sunshine in your life, I don't understand what being Mexican has to do with playing the guitar he is a brother in life and wants only peace for all. How could you not applaud him for that alone?

I don't see any cd's with yall's name on it, if you don't like it don't listen. Who the F*** is Zakk Wylde anyway, I'm sure he'd be great to have around on Halloween. Mindless shredding or technically advanced licks mean nothing if you can't put your heart into it.

Carlos is an artist who uses the guitar to express his inner soul. He stays true to his heritage, while taking it to the highest level in Latino Rock, which he virtually invented. Have you ever listened to Mexican music? Think about it. He is not EVH or Satch. He doesn't wish to be. He plays from the heart, and can move a crowd, as he did here at the PRS Experience. I would know. I was there.

When Carlos plays he's... it's between and man and a woman. Not a man and guitar shredding.

Carlos has alway been the master at mixer blues, latin jazz, and rock to create something totally unique. I appreciate his efforts and hope to be 1/10th the guitarist he is.

Once sat in on a jam between Carlos, Jorma Kaukonen while still in the Airplane and Jerry Garcia. Carlos was fabulous! Perhaps it's WHAT you heard him play. When he delves into other styles he morphs a great deal and he is truly inspiring.

Carlos is inspiring by virtue of the fact that someone as limited in chops can be so famous

I seriously doubt that anyone with brains dislikes Carlos because he's a Mexican. It is indeed a style thing. If he appeals to you, he's legit. I will say he's a million time more expressive than EVH or Al DiMiola, despite their superior technique. He does swing and he's loved world-wide. You guys sure get carried away with this stuff--lotsa anger here. Yeesh.

I dunno why so many people dislike Santana. Maybe because he's Mexican, I don't know. In my opinion, Santana is one of the best. He combine perfectly rock and latin rhytms like salsa, rumba, etc. Carlos Santana makes me shout that I'm proud to be born in México

I guess it's just part of his style. Eddie finger taps, Edge has his delay, B.B. does the vibrato thing, Satch does the delayed whammy thing, Zakk does his pick harmonic thing, Al has his muted staccato picking...and Santana has his chromatic lick. As long as the man has been around I, for one, can't really dis the him for a lick. To each their own.
