PG's On Location in Stevensville, MD, where they hang out at the Experience PRS event. In this video segment, we get to tour PRS' Private Stock wood pile. While there are all the usual suspects when it comes to high-grade tonewoods (quilted maple, flame maple, variations of rosewood and cocobolo) but there is a special, one-off piece. It is a piece that was combined by nature which is half quilted maple and half flame maple. Mother nature seems to be looking out for tone-hounds, too.

Have a lot of guitars, 335, Strat, LP, PRS 22, odds and ends. Keep going back to the 335 and LP for the Big Tone. My PRS is a bit thin sounding for me. I bought it because it looked so great. When I need thin, out comes the Strat.

The "Experience PRS" event was a no-holds-barred, total experience! Thank you Paul for opening your doors to everyone... literally "everyone". The pride and passion that you show for the work that you do comes across every time you take to the stage and speak the language of guitar. I believe the secret to your success stems from Passion, determination and Hard Work. Every company should learn to target those qualities. Thank you for delivering
your dream to the world and for having the passion to create world class products, the determination to get the world to listen, and the hard work to needed to keep it all going. I'll never forget my "Experience".
Thank you one hundred times, Paul. ~ Jim Distler
