PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Des Moines, IA, where he catches up with blues guitarist powerhouse, Joe Bonamassa. In this video segment, we get to hear from Joe about his current slew of guitars for his current tour.

Joe walks us through several Gibsons, including his JB model # 001 (which he calms is his favorite), a "Gary Moore" Les Paul, another JB Goldtop model (with traditional white hardware), a cardinal red Firebird and an old Flying V. In addition, he shows off some Ernie Ball models like his Petrucci baritone and Steve Morse loaded with DiMarzios. To top it off, he breaks out a double-neck ... just for good measure!

Joe Coffey, please insist that your cameraman use a damn light. The interviews are great but the image is awful. There are many great, small LED vid camera lights out there.

Joe B's quest for his 'tone' doesn't seem to include any P-90 equipped Gibsons... intersting... regardless,he's a damn good blues player. I agree w/ noah& johnny that it was more a fluff piece than substance. I lived in Chicago for 20 yrs and many natives say Ill-a-noise :)

Deh Moines. It Deh Moine. It's almost as bad as people who pronounce Illinois as Ell-i-noy or Ell-i-noise. Ill-i-noy.

Beyond a detailed schematic of the pickups, circuitry, neck and body woods, and age,of each of those instruments is the gear that gives voice to the guitars. He's still in pursuit of his quest for his 'tone from heaven'. Witness the double neck he's introduced into this six string arsenal. Got to find your own voice.
