PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Anaheim, CA, for the 2010 NAMM
Show where he visits the Taylor Guitars booth. In this segment, we get
introduced to several new products that will be released fully for
Taylor during 2010.
First up, the 8-string baritone, which has a
truly unique voice, the 8-string baritone GS complements the baritones
lower tonal range by pairing two octave strings with the third and
fourth strings, adding a touch of upper-octave brightness without too
much 12-string jangle. The result is a guitar with incredible tonal
range, perfect for walking basslines and rich melodies. It features a
solid Sitka spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides.
Next,
we get to check out the Jason Mraz Signature Nylon model and the Dave
Matthews Signature 914ce custom model with "Grux" inspired inlays.
Lastly,
we get to check out some offerings from the Taylor Build to Order
section. These guitars are one-off creations built by the Taylor upon
request from direct buyers through the website or for dealers who wish
to keep some BTO models in their stores.
