PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Memphis, TN, where he visits the legendary Sun Studio. In this segment, we get a grand tour of one of the most famous studios in the world -- Sun Studio.

Some may say, this is the birthplace of rock 'n' roll with the recording of the "That's Alright." You get to see where Elvis and Scotty Moore stood during that pioneer recording. In addition, Sam Philips recorded Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. The Studio is a one-room place with a lot of the equipment and appointments the building had back in the '50s. Recently, U2 recorded some tracks in the quaint room.

Its not just the low tech equipment, its how you use it and the caliber of the musicians involved in the process.

Great video! It's hard to believe that such a lo-fi studio could have spawned so many great recordings. Long live rock'n'roll!
