PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Memphis, TN, where he visits the Gibson Custom Memphis factory. The Gibson Custom Memphis factory builds all the ES hollow- and semi-hollow bodied guitars, the white Les Paul and the Gibson EDS-1275 double-neck. In this segment, we get to see the final inspection process. Here, we get to see how the technician checks fret height, action, hardware setup and makes sure the guitar plays, sounds and reacts as it should by playing the "Gibson" song.

Loved the videos of the factory seeing guitars I love being made. They say life is good. I see this and and I think it may better than that sometimes. Thanks for sharing this series.

I've just bought a brand new tobacco sunburst curly maple top ES-335 and I've had countless guitars over the years, (including sadly departed vintage examples). I have to say my new Gibson is totally flawless. It played beautifully right out of the box and with a few minor adjustments to the nut & action, played it's first gig that same evening and sang like a bird... a really amazing guitar... and so cool of Premier Guitar to let me see just how much hardwork went into my new squeeze... awesome... gotta love that new nitro smell!

I went to the factory last spring and this was a great set of videos. My wife was actually impressed and had a good time even though it must have been a little boring for her.She couldnt believe how much hand work was involved and either could I.

If you have ever met Jim Lillard, he is going to double, triple check everything.

I understand the need to check the playability and final check of the electronics, but seriously - checking to see if the tuners are straight and the color matches the rest of the hardware. Come on guys, the builders are more professional than that...

THAT is the 335, love that finish. What is the name of the color?
