My chops are weak (his are anything but) and my songs need work (his stand alone). He's new to me so, until recently, what I hoped was unique to me, isn't: effecting my acoustic to sound electric. Oh well, hope to see Mr. Montgomery in my area soon!

Delivers the guitar goods in a singular and amazing way. You know it is him THE SECOND you hear him. Live he is spellbinding. Why he isn't considered in the same breath as ......ah, never mind.

Monte is my favorite guitarist...scratch that - favorite MUSICIAN of all time! Not only does the man play some mind-blowing guitar, but his songs are very well planned and penned pieces of art. His solo piano tunes prove he's not just a guitar player. I've seen him 11 times and the shows just get better and better. Monte gives you lots of bang for the buck and you won't have to sit in nose bleed seats to get it either. He's always around after the show to talk with fans. Such a very nice guy.

He is an amazimg player!!! I originally saw him on Austin City Limits 10-15 years ago & fell out of my chair with what he does on acoustic. I have seen him live & got to meet him. He is a cool guy!!

I booked Monte many times in Tulsa, Oklahoma back in the early 200s and it took a while for him to go over here. I also booked him for our annual Tulsa Blues Festival almost every year and that is actually what got him going here in Tulsa. He is a nice guy and a total pleasure to work with. I have many memories with him and hello Monte if you are reading! Matt and Larry send our love.....
