PG's Joe Coffey is On Location at Experience PRS 2010 where he sits down and talks with Paul Reed Smith about all things PRS Guitars for the upcoming 2011 year. In this video interview, PRS talks about the new V12 finish, DC3, NF3, and JA-15 guitars, and the new Recording Amp. In addition, he talks about what it takes to be a guitar innovator and entrepreneur in today's economic climate--and why it's vital to PRS Guitars.

The DC3 is features a flat alder body, bolt-on neck, steel bridge components, and three proprietary PRS DC3 singlecoil pickups based on PRS's award-winning 513 model platform, the DC3 has a warm, vintage tone and loads of modern appeal.

The NF3 is named after its versatile pickup configuration (3 pickups paired with a 5-way blade switch), the NF3 utilizes the modern pickup technology of PRS Narrowfield pickups. Narrowfields use the same wire as PRS's coveted 57/08 pickups, but are narrower pole-to-pole and deeper front-to-back. The result is a new sounding pickup system with exceptional clarity. Paired with a "pattern regular" bolt-on neck and flat body design, the NF3 is a modern classic.

The result of a collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and Paul Jackson, Jr., the JA-15 was originally designed with jazz musicians in mind. Highlights include a "pattern" neck shape, 53/10 pickups, a 2-piece adjustable bridge, and "V12" finish...all newly offered as standard appointments for the first wave of 2011 products. The warmth of the spruce top paired with the high-end clarity of the figured maple back creates a resonance in this guitar that is balanced with tonal clarity.

PRS is proud to offer a twenty-five piece limited run of Experience PRS 2010 Recording Amps. External switches on many gain and tone components that are normally inaccessible create a nearly infinite tonal and gain palate, making this "universal" amp perfect for recording...as does the amp's ability to go from the hardest of rock to super clean tones and cover everything in between.
