PG's Chris Kies is On Location at RIBCO Brewing in Rock Island, IL, where he catches up with rockabilly guitar slinger Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath for another Rig Rundown installment.

In this Rig Rundown video segment, the Rev talks about his signature Gretsch G6120RHH Hollowbody electric guitar, switching from his tried-and-true 1978 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp to a Gretsch Executive combo, and why he uses a rackmount delay during his live shows. In addition to the gear talk, the Rev talks and show off some techniques and playing styles he uses on a nightly basis while performing.

free radio today is horrible...the music that is played is so lame and boring that it makes me wonder ...do the people in radio have any taste in music at all...lady gaga Justin bieber compared to the rev. get more playing power ?...wtf I love the internet and youtube its a vast library of talent music and art...and opens doors for great artist such as our good friend the reverend...and other great artist such as joe satriani john petrucci johnny winter and many others that never get any air play...free radio is dead

Couldn't he have plugged it in and let us hear it through his 78 Super, and especially that Gretsch Executive amp? Also, I would have liked to hear the TVJones Filtertrons.

The man's name is Jim Heath. The band's name is Reverend Horton Heat. They're right.

Well, not too much about the "rig." But it was very interesting to have a lesson or two on the playing technique. This righteous rocker needs more exposure, and would - if the world were a just place. Sigh!! That's show biz...

Great to see the Rev. on here, one of the best guitar slingers ever! Too bad about the audio though, way too much microphone movement to pick up everything.
