Excellent review (and reviewer, I might add). Wonderful guitar with very useful features.

I've been playing for 40++ years (hmmm - should be much better than I am! Oh, well.), and for the last decade or so, it's been intermittent. I play local venues, church, charity events, etc. I bought this guitar 2-21-11. WOW! It is SO playable that I find it in my hands for over an hour every day. Fingers, calluses and over-all smoothness of playing is back to where it was 20 years ago when I was gigging every week. This is the first guitar I've owned that makes me WANT to get home in the evenings and play. Like Dave G, I compared it to multiple "comparable" models, and narrowed the selection down to a Taylor 814CE and the GPCPA1 - both excellent instruments with truly comparable ease of playing. After an hour of playing back and forth, I kept going back to the sound of the Martin. I was in the acoustic guitar room at the Guitar Center, and everyone who walked in while I was playing pointed to the Martin as the better sounding instrument. Best instrument purchase I've made in 45 years.

I bought this guitar about 3 months ago, and I have to say that hands down it is the best sounding, most versatile acoustic I've ever played through...just the rich sound of it makes me want to play for hours. We did a shoot-out among many top-end acoustics (yes, including Taylors) at the guitar shop I purchased this at, and over and over I kept coming back to this one. I highly recommend it! As a side note, there's a very nice on-board tuner that she didn't mention in the video.

Great, informative video Gayla. I was wondering what tuning that is you are playing? Thanks Premier Guitar. You are doing a good job. I dig your magazine being available online. EW

So how would you humidify it? I can't imagine having moisture anywhere near the internal preamp/printed circuit board would be a good thing.

Awesome guitar. I played it at the factory a few weeks ago. It's beautiful and easy to play.
