I like that more amps are providing the wattage adjustment. This amp though to me was just so-so and distortion was a little disappointing, but for the money it is a nice amp. And I know many say "hear one in person" but it is impossible to go hear everything in person. If the video does not represent the amp, that's a shame and PG should upgrade their equipment. I hear demos on youtube all the time and those sound great, so not sure what's the difference here. Go check out reviews by Greg V like this one for an example of how a demo should look and sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_XI7PoRo -0

David C. You obviously have not tried one of these in person. I own one, and the quality of these is astounding. The handwired board is very clean, and the cabinet is very solid and well-built. The sound is very organic and vintage. The fact that it is built in China is a non-issue. These are made with obvious care. So David, whether your issue is China or disdain for anything you don't personally own, maybe you should try one first.

really nice demo. it shows the limitations of this amp. very artificial sounding distortion. IMHO this amp sounds like it's price tag. the Valve Bimbo may cost more but it kills this chinese low-rent amp.

I own it... lots of great tones in this amp. Between the Depth, Texture, Tone, and variable Wattage control there endless hours of tone exploration without having to mod anything on the circuit board. The review did not mention that there's also a high power/low power switch and half's the wattage range from 3W down to 0.5W. For the money it's an incredible value for a low wattage amp. I also own an Orange TT and a Mesa TA-15 and I get a wider range of tones from the VHT. I have the head and the closed back cab which comes with VHT's Chromeback speaker. Would have preferred the open back cab but it ships with a Celestion G12H30 speaker for nearly $200 more than the closed back. I replaced the Chromeback with a WGS ET-65 which sounds great. Definitely worth a listen if you like super low wattage amps
