I fail to see how this guitar can be priced at $1400.00, when my Fender squier telecustom II with extremely similar looks and sound in the blonde colour, is available at $250.00, and on a note for note basis is extremely comparable using P90 pickups, which are Duncan designed and stock aat the quoted price. Something is wrong here. Either the telecustom II is the bargain of the decade, or this anniversary piece is seriously overpriced.

Just another variation of the venerable 52 reissue; but the other guys are right, you should have demoed her through a Fender 65 deluxe reverb reissue, or a twin, or a bassman, or practically any Fender tube amp.

Yeah, major fail reviewing a Fender Tele through an amp other than a Tweed Bassman. At the very least, use a cool BF amp of some kind.

Sounds pretty good to me. I love the overdrive tone with it.

The muddiest Tele I've ever heard. Where's that classic Tele bite? Wrong head, wrong cabinet, just...wrong! Why couldn't he put it through a Twin, Deluxe Reverb, etc?

It would sound fine if he was playing with a Real Fender Amp.

It looks like a really nice guitar. It's too bad the pickups sound awful.

I love my Tele - have had an Am Natural since 2001 (modded it with Vintage Noiseless pickups and a tortoiseshell guard).
