so he didn't get what he ordered ?
or
wasn't he clear with what he wanted ?

this isn't a sandwich

it's a hand made fine instrument.

Kubicki never gave me this issue Pedulla either.

And Jens Ritter was as thorough as he could be from an ocean away.

I have seen older bassman's bass in person, and had the opportunity to compare it with my Alembic Stanley Clarke Signature Standard. I can verify that it did not have the specs he ordered (and yes, he has other Alembics and has played them for years). It it was a custom Series I, so the dummy coil (actually a humcanceller - the Series instruments use single coil pickups) was part of that order. The reasons for sending it back are between him and Alembic, so I won't comment on that. One other thing - everyone has different preferences when it comes to one's personal instruments. What works for Stanley Clarke doesn't work for everyone, and vice versa.

Stanley Clarke-Living Legend. If Clarke uses Ampeg, then that's good enough for me.

did you order it with the dummy coils or did mr.clarke have that added after you returned it, any chance you'd show what they built you to replace your return that he got, cause i'd hate to see the good name of alembic dragged through the mudd any more than it has been on here intentionally or not. you kinda put some doubt in my mind about ordering a bass from them that would be simalar to one shown on this video seams like some sort of concistency problem which is unusual for them. i'm sure they are very much focused on happy repeat customers since stan has been playin them for decades. some carification might resolve this tissy fit.

yeah what was wrong with the bass? older_bassma n, even the dude who confirmed your story said that S.C. texted and said it was the best they'd built! what was the issue? Since you had to clarify that stanley is playing your reject

just curious how did that wonderful bass "not meet order specifications?" i've never had this issue with a hand made/comissioned bass or even a just a custom shop instrument.okay we now know the burled bass was made for older_bassma n there's your 2 cents and the clocks at 14:59.

so your saying alembic is slipping?
that's too bad.
hold the press!!
cancel my order!!i mean return it
i just play em, i don't set them up
or explain myself when ordering.

are you the guy who takes 5 minutes to order food at in & out by chance?

All I was doing correcting a statement in the video as to who the bass was built for. You all should think before shooting off your mouths. When a custom bass is ordered it should match the specifications of the order. Since it did not the bass was returned. Something any one of you would have done. As to the "Try before you buy" comment I have been playing Alembics for more years than I can count I knew darn well what I was ordering.

seriously who would steal from stanley clarke?????
that's what's wrong with the world right there.
and you idiots the gear makes all the difference.
just because some rich guy wasn't happy with a bass and stan was doesn't make the guy a prick, returning it to alembic does though who actually leaves with it unhappy? or even worse has it shipped to them sight unseen...seriously try before you buy duh.
