I got to try the Rainsong s-ws1000n2 at winter NAMM...I was quite impressed, so i bought one....great sound unplugged or plugged in...very even sound with full bass, clear mids, and sweet highs....I compare it to my Taylor 510ce, and although the Taylor plays a little nicer, I like the sound of the Rainsong at least as much....try before you knock it...

Looks hard to play? Perhaps it is the person playing it. Rainsongs are quite easy to play. I have two... an old PDR-1000 with the wooden neck (probably a Hawaiian model) and a new JM-1000. Both are easy to play and both sound great naked or amped. You can't judge what a guitar sounds like by listening to it on the internet, from recordings that have likely been captured with a handicam, and further screwed by compressing it for upload. A comparable judgement would be to say that video doesn't look quite right, while watching it from a VHS tape. No kidding. It won't look right since VHS is the worst format to record and reproduce video. The audio on this video sounds nothing like my Rainsongs, or other Rainsongs I have heard.

Seriously?? No thanx. I'll just hang on to my 2004 CA Legacy until the bcustom white dove is on the market. Why does it have a neck heel and a truss rod when it's carbon? My CA doesn't need any of that. This thing is DOA in my opinion.

Personally I would prefer a demo that shows any acoustic qualities of the guitar Use a mic not the Fishman. This did not sound good at all.

I own a RainSong Studio OM and it has a nice loud acoustic tone. The Fishman Prefix+T is very usable, but not an Aura by any means. I agree the tone in this video is quite sub par and I'm not sure why, since the guitar I own sounds excellent.
