I agree completely, listening to a distorted sound from a guitar is no way to demonstrate it's qualities.

Perhaps Mr Wagner writes articles better than he plays guitar. Bleh.

No offense to Mr. Wagner, but he sounds like every joe in a music store playing a few, almost correct licks. I don't know who controls these gear videos, but I think you should keep the talking down to a minimum, list the features quickly, and then have a pro demo the guitar clean with no pedals or at least minimum effects (CUT the distortion).

Sounds like any other Ibanez.

Nobody is demonstrating the tremolo bar.

I really like the video reviews you do on gear. However, lately they have been very deficient at showing the features of the guitars and amps. For instance, this guitar has a five-way switch. The video only shows two of the positions and only through a very distorted amp. I would like to hear each of the pickup positions, both through a clean amp and then with distortion. I think you did a serious diservice to this guitar.

Sweet guitar: weak playing. You didn't get one decent tone out of that cherry axe. Through a tubescreamer after the guitar, you didn't have enough tightness to do those licks.
