You're right Mike... I thought the premium boutique cable phenomenon was a bunch of crap til I swapped out my 18-foot planet waves with a whirlwind leader- suddenly, that muffled, low-midrange grunt that accompanied my dirty power chording was GONE! Now I get tight, clear and PUNCHY rhythm sounds... the way it ought to be!
Haven't tried these solid cables yet but I'm gonna as soon as I get a chance.

In reply to Thomas: I was skeptical about cable sound quality too until I attended a Taylor Guitars event. One of the sales guys from the store asked me if I ever tried a George L cable. After plugging it in and trying it against whatever standard cable the store had I could definitely hear a difference. The George L cable had better overall sound definition and more high end. For whatever it's worth.

Is there any scientific proof that any cables are any better than any others? I can see the quality in the connections, but the stuff about "premium" cables sounds dubious. Mogami, Alessandro, Vox, and other "premium" cables brands have made claims that no music magazine has ever investigated. They are long overdue for double blind testing. Premier Guitar ought to do another "Guitar Cable Roundup" with double blind testing, testing the most expensive brands with the cheapest.
