What about string tension? Is it greater or less and by how much?

Hey Johnny, Actually no! The material composition provides both an increase in output and an increase in sustain / clarity. We used multiple independent acoustic labs to test and were a little surprised as well, as conventional wisdom generally has proven that output and sustain have an inverse relationship. Contact us if you have any questions or feedback. - Brian@ernieball.com

Wouldn't increased magnetic sensitivity reduce string sustain, like having your pickups to close to the strings? Just a thought...
