Taste is highly subjective. I like the look of this amp! In a world already full of black, brown, and cream boxes, this is a nice alternative. Nice sound, too. The cost is too high, however. What tubes is he running in it? Hey, you guys should run a review of the Cream Amps made in Germany. Fabulous old school Marshall looks and tones for $1200 US.

Well said. Amps aren't sofas or coffee tables. Use quality parts and keep the design simple.

He makes great-sounding amps -- no question about it -- but I swear each new model Carr releases is uglier looking than the last one. Could you booteek amp builders please lay off off all the moderne art deco crap (you're 60 years too late!) and just go back to making black, brown or creme boxes with the stinking knobs in the right places and no more of these artsy-flimsy speaker baffles and fronts that are just begging for some kind of damage? I'm not looking for groovy furniture here, people; I just buy for good sound. Really sick of all the creepy designs. I'm gonna have to just go back to playing Fenders and be done with all this goofy design stuff. What gives?
