I am a hired gun guitar player like so many other player's and my rig is more impressive then most of these I have seen except Vai and that's just because I don't slave as much as he does but at the same time I have more since he reduced to AXE-FX 2 I believe and I am clearer sounding than most of these guys and they are quote "professionals" and I can go from studio to Concert hall and never miss a beat..I have my own line of Amps and B.C Rich 7 and like I said I am only a hired session player

Heres everyones comments There popular so that means they suck, The guitars are stupid, they should have no opion on what they do, Their rig is stupid if anyone sells out areans they suck, If anyone has another opion other then me there dumb nickelback fans since people who like nickelback suck. Only people who listen to what I do are smart.

One question Jason neglected to ask Kris Dawson -- What kind of racks are these they seem unique? They are A&S Case Company, Inc. Double wide 28 space Kris-Kraft FlyWeight Airacks. Nickleback selected FlyWeight because it reduce the weight of the case by 50% and Airack because they provide superior shock protection and better air circulation around the gear.

The argument that these guys are musically great because they sell out arenas is tedious and wrong. Popularity and musicality are obviously not the same thing. The Beatles were musically great and massively popular; Hoobastank were super-popular and musically worthless. Just turn on TV and try to convince yourself that the greatest video art being produced today is whatever program has the highest rating. I don't hear people criticizing Nickleback for having simple, reliable rigs -- just look at Jeff Beck with no pedals and a couple or Pro Juniors! -- they're criticizing them for being derivative, boring, calculated, and unoriginal. Which they are. Regardless of how many tickets they sell.

Excellent rigrundown!! Such a clean and effective setup!! And for all the haters....not surprising....can't appreciate the beauty/art that goes into crafting amazing rigs. It's not as complicated and you may think it is, it just makes doing EVERYTHING that they are doing more effecient and perfect...cause they are smart ;) Not to mention, when playing in front of sold out arenas you want everything to go smoothly. I guess for those people hating....you just don't understand cause you haven't done that :-P
