PG's Chris Kies is on location in Des Moines, IA, at Wooly's where he catches up with the king of country western troubadours Unknown Hinson. In this segment, the Kang talks about his signature Reverend Guitar, using the Fender Super-Sonic 100 head and matching cabinet, Vox ValveTronix digital effects process, and what's his ideal wumern.

Guitars
Hinson brings a duo of his Reverend signature model guitars on the road with him. The guitar is based off of the Reverend 290 Club King, a semi-hollow guitar with two P-90 pickups, Bass Contour control, maple neck and fretboard with bat inlay, and locking tuners. The two guitars are identical other than the headstock veneer. Hinson says he prefers the P-90s because they can clean up and twang or get fat for more rock tones.

Amps
He plugs into a Fender Super-Sonic 100 head and 2x12 cabinet.

Effects
For pedals, Hinson keeps it simple with a Vox ToneLab LE. He uses it as a Volume pedal as well as chorus, overdrive, and tremolo. He prefers this unit because it's all-in-one and easy to travel with.

@Stratoblogst, yes, Rebecca should have done it, and dressed like Minnie Pearl! I would have paid to see that. For rock bands Ms Dirks should dress like Emma Peel!

I have listened to country all my life, and Unknown Hinson just feels genuinely with his songs, ever since I was a little my dad never let me listen to pop or that heavy metal, he kept me straight with just country. Unknown Hinson's music kinda brings back that feeling I had when I was little, I am 19 now and I am and will always be a fan. he is a legend at heart.

Unknown is truly awesome. Thanks for the rig rundown. You all owe it to yourself to see Hinson live, he puts on a great show. "Now give it up baby , 'for I get ill..."

Ummm..., P-90's don't hum? Tubes and pots in the Fender amp made in the US? Ummm... 'kay. And there's only one correct answer to the favourite "womans" question: "The ones who don't run away or break out the pepper spray when they see me..."

What! Rebecca should have hosted this Rig Rundown video! Tough gig for Dirks, but woulda been Emmy material for guitar culture! I'm LMAO just imagining!!! She called in sick, right? Am I right? I know I'm right!
