I knew James when he was in France. He is one of the nicest chaps I ever met. He loves music and musicians. Always trying to help guitarists. And he never takes himself too seriously! Plenty of humour! I remember popping in his workshop in the early 80's and seeing a gold plated metal body in a corner of the workshop. i asked him what that was! Quite flashy!!! He answered with a great smile that it was a special order from Willy DeVille to match his gold tooth which was embossed in gold on the picture on the front sleeve of his new LP!!! I remember he made a small custom guitar for a girl named Mona Soyoc who was singing in a band in France. I think he made it for her just because he was a fan!

Really great guitars and lovely sound. James needs a professional speaker, rather than just rambling on in stops and starts,,,,,,,,,regards,,,,xxxx Gib

Agreed! I once thought Trussarts were largely cosmetic creations, but wow was that wrong -- this guy has a real, complete vision of function, sound, appearance, and spirit ("vibe") and is so obviously committed to those goals. A real artist, craftsman, player, and person. And nice job, Rebecca, bringing out the best in everyone and really appealing. Thanks.

James Trussart makes a great product, he is living proof that nice guys don't finish last. I love his work.

I had a Trussart Guitar develop a slight crack where the 2 halves join. This was about 4 years ago on my Steelcaster. James Trussart took the guitar immediately into his shop. He repaired the crack by re-welding, stripped the guitar of its finish and refinished the guitar, headstock and bridge. Total Charge? -- $0 ... not one dime. James Trussart is a craftsman with commitment to the customer!

Superb Guitars, I own a special one tha was made for Jean Leloup (singer from Quebec). Amazing sound....! J. Trussart is a genius, just check his website and see for yourself who's playing with his guitars ! Try one and you will be instantly in love.
