Seems like a handsomer body shape than a Jumbo as well; just a nice design. I agree with RJR that some of the lower end, 'plain' Taylors, even with laminated back and sides, have really responsive tops. I was just musing yesterday about getting one as a "camping" or "don't have to worry so much about it" guitar. My son's GS Mini sure has that sort of quality.

Seems like another neat Taylor. Put some headphones on and listen to the demo and interview. Pretty decent sound, especially for recording during the noise of a NAMM show.

I am not sure why people scoff at the blank sheet. Andy Powers is a very gifted lutier and before Taylor HIRED him he was doing his own custom guitars and selling to some high end clients. the dimensions and the bracing share NOTHING with any Taylor currently available. Yes is may look a bit simular to a GS shape but you are not going to come out with some stupid odd ball shape that does not fit what you already have. Frankly older Jumbos looked stupid.

Wow. Love it. We are most definitely living in the new "Golden Age" of acoustic guitars. Fantastic choices out there these days in every price range.

This Grand Orchestra (GO) guitar is a very exciting breakthrough for Taylor, and am interested to see how these innovations eventually make their way down to the D, GS, GA, and GC models (as well as some of the entry level guitars). I am not a fan of the high-gloss finish, as it seems to keep the sound in. Some of my favorite Taylors are actually more of the entry level guitars that have the very thin (almost non-existant) non-gloss finishes, where more of the wood sound is heard from the get-go. I think such a non-finish would be phenomenal on this Grand Orchestra guitar.

Both are trying to sound like Breedlove. Better to buy an original Breedlove.

This is an exciting development (if the guitar suits your needs). Taylor is an excellent company. And it is interesting to watch how Bob Taylor has begun handing the reins over to Andy Powers. It sure feels like Taylor's future is only going to get brighter. I am a very satisfied Taylor owner and player. I've taken their factory tour twice. Impressive. I am also a VERY satisfied PG subscriber. Love it!
