What a great bunch of new guitars. I cannot understand all the whining in the previous comments. No one is forcing you to look, like, or buy one of these. I love 'em all but what kills me is Luther Dickinson's 335. I bought a Midtown Standard P90 and I see what they are going for here. Love it!!! Keep rocking Gibson!!!

I was with Scotty in his kitchen when he signed this guitar.
Mike and Beth Voltz are friends and had come to eat dinner with us that night. Scott is very happy to see this one come out again. He fell in love with his at O.K. Houck Piano Co. in 1953 before he met Elvis, used his on all the Sun sessions except the last one "Mystery Train" which was played on his new L-5. He played Gibsons on stage from 1953 to his last show in 2007. Long run for this guy and his guitar of choice!

Don't mind me...I am just frustrated that all these beautiful guitars cost so damb much. I virtual window shop but stop at the cart when the total is 3-5K. I can only handle so much credit card debt until I go under. The CEO nonsense makes me laugh though. Can you imagine someone who has been with Gibson a long time getting handed that game plan of the new entry level models. Oh yeah boss great idea this will really knock them dead. Ayecarumba!

Gibson should produce entry level hollows (and semis) through the Epiphone division. Nice replicas of all the favorites at more than half the price off. For nice replicas 1K is not too much these days. Good entry level hardware that will last a most of us a long time. They do that in theory now but improve those entry level models a bit. My worthless two cents.

Awesome video, love the passion in Mike's 'story telling", makes you feel at home whether you're a fan of Gibson or not. Great camera work and editing.

First off, Henry J must be doing something right if Gibson can make such super awesome reissues. Plus, yes the 335 studio seems is a lame guitar but at least some players will now be able to afford a genuine Gibson semi. Second, I quote "Now I'm no George Gruhn or anything but are those very common inlays? I dont recall every seeing those ones." ARE YOU FRICKIN KIDDING ME? The trapezoidal inlays are some of Gibby's most famous inlays. Premier Guitar you should be embarrased. Please do yourself a favor and get some people who know their s***. Same goes for that mousey young girl in the vid's with the rundowns. Does she even play guitar? Get some old school Guitar PLayer guys who know guitars and music inside out so you can have some credibility.

I grew up playing Gibson - but nowadays - the first question I have to ask for all of the guitars in this video - especially the up-scale ones is: what are the prices? Over the past few years I have found Gibson's pricing to way to high. Still - I'll check 'em out. Cheers!

That 335 studio is some straight B.S.. One pickup and a trapeze tailpiece! That is a serious dog of an instrument They couldn't put the second pickup in it? Neck joint cover!! My god that is the stupidest thing I have seen. The Gibon rep told me that they are not going to produce any crappy guitars, the quality control has been greatly improved. Now if they could get the designs right!!
