PG's Shawn Hammond is On Location in Anaheim, CA, at the 2013 NAMM Show where he visits the Fender booth. In this segment, we get to see and hear the 958 P-Bass and Select Active Jazz Bass.

Sad state of Fender when the old P-basses were so good that they have to reissue them. I'll keep my original 62 P-bass, thank you.

The review left me feeling very cold about Fender basses. And it wasn't from the PG side of the mic. Fender, fly out some Berklee students (who would probably "intern" for free) to really show off the capabilities that these instruments have to offer. The buying public sees these clips through New Media, not at the show. Embrace New Media, it can be your friend. Fender, you and your instruments deserve better reps at your booth!

do you suppose Fender could'nt afford to provide an adequate house clinician or employee able to play the instruments and / or review features ( without propmpting ) for Premier Guitar ? They seriously need to leave this fellow back @ the woodshop next year. weak demo IMO
