Both these folks, esp Mr Ibanez, sound like they were up late drinking. Wouldn't have been easier for all concerned if PG had just posted press releases and photos? BTW, what's with that slider thing on echo box? Does the unit also play 8 tracks?

Actually, Telenator, the Satch model has been pretty reasonably priced.
The JS100 streets areound $600, IIRC, and the JS1000 about $1000 even. Not far off similar levels of other Ibanez guitars - JS1000 = the Prestige models, the 100 is similar to the higher level production ones.

Is that the new McSunburst? Ibanez does make a good guitar for the money

I've had a lot of respect for Ibanez ever since they stopped making total rip-off copies of other guitars, such as Strats and Les Pauls, and went off to make their own guitar models. I have owned a handful over the years. I love how they have some fresh angle they are exploring with new designs practically every year. Except for the Satriani's pricing, which I've never understood (is it the name?), they have always kept their prices reasonable. I know Basswood has been a popular choice for metal guitars, but I've always hated how you can stick a thumbnail right into it without hardly trying.
