Own and play Ovations for many years (among several other guitars) Just put a good comfortable strap on it and yes, don't hold it so tightly.

RHC, the most common reason the roundback tries to slip off the leg is hugging it too tightly with the right arm. Relax and it stops rolling up. Or go with the contour bowl.

Coolest, mandolin I ever seen!!Lookin like quite a awesome bit of on board electronics..Every thing unique about Ovation head to toe..its just(Ive played them)that round back that totally wants to slip off you leg,constantly...sure! hold it tighter or stand up....whatever.......
