Blabbermouth is stirring up more gossip. According to the site, the Guns N'' Roses fan site is talking about Richard Fortus'' upcoming involvement with Japan X. Last summer Fortus and fellow GNR guitarist Robin Finck (the guy who replaced Slash) played with the Japanese band, but Fortus is looking to join again.

Petty''s Teen Band Reunites

Tommy Petty is reuniting his first teenage band, Mudcrutch. The group features Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and keyboardist Benmont Tench, with guitarist Tom Leadon and drummer Randall Marsh. The band is releasing their first album on April 29th (Reprise Records).

Lynyrd Skynyrd is planning to include a "vintage" song on their anticipated 2009 release. According to guitarist Gary Rossington, "It has Ronnie Van Zant singing and Leon (Wilkerson) on bass and Bob Burns is on drums." The band already has 20 potential songs for the new album.
