(May 1, 2008) — Aguilar Amplification has announced that their new DB 285 JC cabinet is now shipping. The DB 285 JC was designed with legendary Hot Tuna/Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Casady, who was looking for a portable cabinet that would reproduce the dynamics and articulation in his playing. Aguilar CEO Dave Boonshoft worked closely with Jack to get just the right blend of deep bass, accurate midrange, and smooth treble. The result of their collaboration is the "Little Jack" -- a cabinet that is perfect for any bassist who wants big studio quality sound in a package that is easy to get around.
The powerful cabinet handles 300 watts RMS into 4 ohms and houses two 8" cast frame woofers and one 6.5" midrange driver for a full range of tones. With a wide frequency response and a sensitivity rating of 95 dB 1W 1m, the DB 285 JC is designed to pick up subtle nuances in your playing style.
The Aguilar DB 285 JC is available at Aguilar dealers worldwide. MSRP $849
