Scott Walker Guitars Releases the Solace

The Solace features a formica body with a Cigar Tube pickup.

Santa Cruz, CA (June 16, 2014) -- Adding to the company’s well-established line of boutique guitars, Scott Walker has unveiled a new formica guitar. The heart of the guitar is a 3" blade-style pickup in a Cigar tube. The body and neck woods are tempered basswood and maple. A gentle radius on the top gives it a comfortable feel and sleek look. The simplicity in appearance and function are as intentional as the complex engineered neck joint and tailpiece. Crystal clear cleans, dynamic and articulate overtones breathe inspiration into the artists playing and repertoire. Built durable and low maintenance for the road, and quiet singing single coil beauty for the studio. The 24" scale length makes it perfect for finger style, open tunings, bottleneck and intricate phrasing. A perfect balance between sweet articulate highs and meaty fat lows.

The Solace is a result of years of research and applying various construction techniques both modern and traditional. The neck joint features a round bottom and keyed perfect fit, attaching with a single bolt on the nodal point, exciting the woods and unlocking the maximum potential of this unique instrument.
