Diamond Guitars Introduces Zoltan Bathory Signature Model

The Halcyon ZB models will come in two colors with slightly different configurations.

Houston, TX (December 8, 2013) -- Diamond Guitars (f/k/a DBZ/Diamond Guitars) is proud to announce the 2015 NAMM Show release of the new Zoltan Bathory (Five Finger Death Punch) Signature guitar models. Diamond Guitars will be unveiling 2 different models of Halcyon ZB at the NAMM Show with production models shipping immediately thereafter.

The Halcyon ZB models will come in two colors with slightly different configurations. The first, the Halcyon ZB-FR Black Moonrise model, is a Flamed Maple over Maple body, Maple set neck with Ebony fingerboard, 24 fret, 25.5” scale length, Floyd Rose bridge and Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient pickup set, allowing players to use the thickest string gauge they want but retain clarity and ferocious tonality. The Halcyon ZB-FR Kona Brown model features a Flame Maple over Mahogany body, for a completely different and warmer feel, with Mahogany set neck and Ebony fingerboard with the aforementioned pickups and hardware configuration. The custom inlay on both models, spanning the first to third frets, is a Tibetan Flame encompassing a Double Dorje, which is also a tattoo on Zoltan Barthory’s forearms. Symbolically a dorje represents the 'thunderbolt of enlightenment,' that abrupt change in human consciousness, and coincidentally, the word also represents the diamond’s unique indestructible ability to cut any surface without harm to itself.

Bathory’s new relationship with Diamond Guitars is conjoined with the launch of his renewed relationship with Seymour Duncan pickups (with whom Diamond Guitars has a close working relationship), which evolved from Bathory’s and Diamant’s selection of the new Pegasus/Sentient pickup configuration for his Halcyon ZB-FR Signature model. Along with the announcement, Seymour Duncan has announced the giveaway of one new Halcyon ZB-FR guitar model. Contest details can be found here: https://bit.ly/ZoltanDBZ.

According to Jeff Diamant, President and Founder of Diamond Guitars, "Zoltan and I have been close friends for many years, beginning with his long relationship with Diamond Amplification, which began before the release of the first Five Finger Death Punch album, ‘The Way of the Fist.’ Zoltan and I have always seen eye to eye on guitar gear; how it should work, look, function, sound, and - most importantly – quality and reliability. Few people know this, but the industry secret is that the model Zoltan selected, the Halcyon, was actually designed by Zoltan and I at the outset of Diamond Guitars along with our other marquee models, the Bird of Prey and the Venom (now discontinued). And now, it’s the right place and the right time. We are very happy to expand our working relationship and team up to offer these amazing guitars to our players.”

Bathory states, “While most are aware of my nearly ten-year history with Diamond Amplification, a lesser known fact is, behind the scenes, I worked directly with Jeff on the design of my new signature guitar over half a decade ago. What I wanted most was a high-precision, sleek, fast, and modern guitar with a more timeless, yet an aggressive and elegant look and shape, built to the highest manufacturing standards possible.” Bathory continues, “As a Diamond Amplification user for many years, I have worked with Jeff on the development of a new, forthcoming amplifier, and even helped with the design of tactical gear for Jeff’s Diamond Tactical product line. Teaming up on all fronts was simply inevitable.”
