Preston Thompson Guitars Releases the 00-14

A small-bodied guitar that fits between a 000 and a parlor guitar.

Sisters, OR (December 25, 2014) -- Preston Thompson Guitars latest introduction to the acoustic market is the 00-14. This handcrafted small-bodied guitar fills a niche between larger guitars (Dreadnoughts and 000s) and smaller size parlor guitars. In Thompson’s words, “these small but powerful guitars produce a lot of punch and are great for both finger pickers and flat pickers”.

In keeping with the exacting standards of all Thompson guitars, the woods, features and designs are true to those great American made instruments from the 1930s.

  • Top Bracing: Red Spruce - Advanced X Scalloped
  • Back and Sides: Mahogany, East Indian Rosewood. Optional: Myrtlewood, "Shipwreck" Brazilian Rosewood
  • Fingerboard: Ebony Bridge: Ebony/Belly
  • Nut: Bone
  • Saddle: Bone/Compensated
  • Finish: Nitro Cellulose Lacquer

The 00-14 is handcrafted in Sisters, Oregon with a suggested base price of $4,200.
