Falbo Guitars Launches with Alpha Series Acoustics

Ventura, CA (December 11, 2012) -- Frank Falbo, a long-time builder and developer, has launched a new line of acoustic guitars featuring an new patent-pending bridge design aimed at balancing string tension. Here are the details from Falbo Guitars:

Frank Falbo has designed a way to balance torque in an acoustic guitar top, while still leaving 100% of the string tension where it belongs: at the bridge. What should be impossible is quite simply and elegantly executed in the Intension bridge design. (patent pending)

Erasing the notion that the answer to string tension is simply more wood and glue, Falbo has harnessed this very same string tension to counteract the distortions it causes. It is self-leveling. With the entire bridge area is in a state of balance, the top is free to vibrate up and down, harnessing all of the string tension, for some of the most pure energy you've felt in an acoustic guitar.

ο Overtones are balanced
ο Atonal oscillation and “beating” are reduced
ο Bass is big and deep but controlled, not woofy.
ο Top end is greatly extended with clarity and detail that is as gratifying to the player as the listener.

In short, more of what you want coming straight from the guitar, without EQ, compression, and mic techniques. The Falbo Alpha Series guitars are made with Italian Spruce tops, Rosewood backs and sides, and Ebony fingerboard and bridge, available in four sizes: Parlor ($2,950) Grand Auditorium ($3,100) Dreadnought ($3,100) and Jumbo ($3,250) Additional electronics and cutaway options, and in-depth technology information are available on the website. Early serial numbers are available now, directly from Falbo Guitars.
