Nashville, TN (March 1, 2013) -- Epiphone, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious instrument makers, is proud to announce the release of its new Limited-Edition Genesis Deluxe PRO guitar with coil-tapping and Epiphone ProBucker Pickups. The Limited-Edition Genesis Deluxe PRO is a reissue of the classic Genesis, one of Epiphone’s most original and modern designs.
Epiphone’s Limited-Edition Genesis Deluxe PRO brings back a collector’s favorite, featuring an original solid mahogany body design with an AAA quilt maple veneer top and eye-catching double cutaway. The Epiphone Limited-Edition Genesis Deluxe PRO uses 1” diameter potentiometers, all-metal toggle switches and Epiphone’s proprietary 1/4" all metal heavy-duty non-rotating output jack. Added features of the reissue guitar include coil-tapping on both rhythm and lead pickups; Epiphone ProBucker pickups with Alnico II magnets; Grover 14:1 machine heads and a classic ‘60s era Sloped Dovewing headstock.
“Epiphone fans have been asking for a reissue of the Genesis and we couldn’t be happier with the results,” said Epiphone President Jim Rosenberg. “It’s a beautiful instrument with an incredible variety of tones. The Genesis Deluxe PRO truly fits the legend of being the guitar for all kinds of music. It looks as cutting edge today as it did in 1979.”
Epiphone continues its longstanding tradition of giving players more for their money at a level of quality and consistency other guitar makers can’t maintain. The Limited-Edition Genesis Deluxe PRO (U.S. MSRP $832.00) and optional reissue hard case with “Genesis” badge (U.S. MSRP $165) will be available beginning March, 2013, in four beautiful new color finishes, including Black Cherry, Midnight Ebony, Midnight Sapphire, and Vintage Sunburst.
