Jon Hill Launches Bootleg Guitars

CEO Jon Hill has been designing and building custom instruments for twenty five years.

Cleveland, OH (May 21, 2011) -- Jon Hill is pleased to announce the formation of Bootleg Guitars and Basses, a full service design and manufacturing company. Long time MI veteran, Alan Shipston will serve as President and Scott Borgio is the CFO. Bootleg will offer five new guitar models and three bass models in four, five and six string configurations, all hand made in Cleveland Ohio. The focus will be on domestic sales driven by retail outlets and the Bootleg website, www.bootlegguitars.com.

CEO Jon Hill has been designing and building custom instruments for twenty five years. As former owner of Hill Custom Guitars, Jon was able to build his line of guitars to the point where he sold the imprint to Dean Guitars in 2009. Now, with a raft of new designs and a strong endorsee list, Bootleg is poised to show its first public offering at the Summer NAMM show in Nashville, TN from July 21-23, 2011.

Bootleg’s long list of endorsees include Stefan Lessard of the Dave Matthews Band, Scotti Hill, founding member of Skid Row, Robbie Merrill of Godsmack, Doug Johns and a wide variety of other professionals who use Bootleg guitars on the road and in the studio.

Bootleg will produce The Generator HS Fixed, Generator HS Floyd, Scotti Hill Limited Edition Artist Generator, Generator T, and The Aztec guitar models.
