(Santa Barbara, CA) November 19, 2008-- After the resounding success of their Blackouts line of active humbuckers, Seymour Duncan, the Santa Barbara-based pickup manufacturer, follows their launch of the Blackouts with chrome, gold and black nickel-plated metal covers. Now, guitarists can enjoy the metal tones that Blackouts offer while retaining a classy, unique and metallic look that coordinates well with their particular guitar hardware finishes. Metal guitarists have embraced Blackouts, which are now one of Duncan’s top 10 product models.

Thanks to a circuit design, Seymour Duncan’s Blackouts are up to 14dB quieter. The covers utilize a nickel silver substrate, the same cover material Seymour Duncan uses for their classic passive humbucker covers. The nickel silver substrate limits the magnetic interaction with the pickup and is ideal for surface plating. Blackouts come with necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.
