Two-Rock Introduces BI-ONYX, Sensor, and Studio Pro Plus Amps

Two-Rock Amplification, a leading boutique amplifier performance brand, announced three new models for 2013, each created to address an important player need.

Rohnert Park, CA (January 12, 2013) - Two-Rock Amplification, a leading boutique amplifier performance brand, announced three new models for 2013, each created to address an important player need.

The BI-ONYX is designed to give dual channel players a new and greater degree of control. It features independent controls for clean and lead; including EQ, gain, master, reverb, contour and volume boost. It’s available in 50W & 100W head options with stock EL34s (optional 6L6s), foot-switchable channel selection and volume boost, a newly designed output transformer that delivers a tighter low-end and a broader range of highs and mids, and a new speaker output feature that enables multiple cabs to be in use at the same time. In black, blonde or blue. MAP/MSRP $3295 (50W), $3595 (100W).

“A growing number of dual channel players are asking for the greatest possible control within each channel, and our new BI-ONYX delivers exactly that, in any performance environment and for any style of music,” said Two-Rock co-founder and Chief Designer Bill Krinard.

The Sensor is focused on the growing number of players who use effects. It provides Two-Rock’s acclaimed cleans, mixes a tighter, more aggressive overdrive channel, and adds a fully buffered tube effects loop that brings out the best in effects, including leading edge time-based effects. It also features cascading gain stages, independent contour controls, foot switchable expansion control, and a new, medium-sized chassis. Available in 22W-35W-50W (combo and head) and 100W (head). 6V6 power tubes on 22W versions, 6L6 on all other models. Sensor combos come stock with 8 OHM Celestion Creamback speakers with optional 12-65B available, and Celestion G12-65 upgrade available on request. In black, blonde or blue. MAP/MSRP ranges from $2195 (22W head) to $3395 (100W head).

“It’s no secret that more artists are exploring the new tonal possibilities that leading edge effects make available,” said Two-Rock General Manager Mac Skinner. “The Sensor is uniquely designed to aid them in their journey. Players who love effects will love the Sensor.”

The Studio Pro Plus adds foot-switchable expansion control and tremolo to Two-Rock’s best selling Studio Pro model. The new expansion control allows an adjustable EQ bypass to the clean channel. This expansion function increases the amount of gain on the front end. The package comes in a new medium-sized chassis, available in 22W-35W-50W combo and head with 6V6 power tubes on the 22W versions, 6L6 on all other versions. Combos come stock with 8 OHM Celestion Creamback speakers with optional 12-65B available, and Celestion G12-65 upgrade available on request. In black, blonde or blue. MAP/MSRP ranges from $2295 (22W head) to $3395 (50W combo).

“Studio Pro players already appreciate the extraordinary cleans and headroom that Two-Rock is known for,” said designer Chad Mangrum. “These enhancements add even greater utility to a proven performer.”
