Exclusive Video: New PRS Maple Top Mira

PRS blends its signature maple top with the new Mira

Stevensville, MD (June 18, 2008) -  PRS is releasing a maple top version of its popular Mira guitar. PRS is known for their gorgeous maple tops as much as their tone, so maple and the Mira are a natural fit. In addition to adding a brighter top end to the guitar''s sonic range, the maple top also gives the Mira''s already "new classic" look a vibe that is even more classic. The Mira is a 24-fret slab body-type guitar (mahogany) with a carved top that comes with a regular or wide thin neck (mahogany). It has an East Indian rosewood fretboard with dots or birds. Despite being an entirely new shape for PRS (introduced in ''07), the Mira is still pure PRS from a glance but new in many ways - it has specially-wound pickups, a pickguard and an unplated aluminum bridge.

In this video, PRS Director of R&D/Director of Private Stock, Joe Knaggs, walks us through the guitar''s design and appointments.
