Joe Barden Engineering J-Style Bass Pickups
Joe Barden Engineering expands its double-blade pickup line with the introduction of the J-Style bass pickup for J-Bass-style guitars. Joe Barden J-Style pickups maintain authentic tone and character but with extended frequency response and articulation. They are quiet in both live performance and recording, and are available in four and five-string versions. The neck and bridge position pickups differ in size to fit into the cavities of the bass without modification to the instrument.

Gibson Custom Shop ES-339 Semi-Hollowbody Guitar
The Gibson ES-339 blends the sound of a semi-hollowbody with the size of a Les Paul. It delivers all of the singing sustain and the characteristic nuances of the classic ES-335 and features ’57 Classic Humbuckers, tuliphead tuners, nickel hardware, an ABR-1 bridge, dot inlays and a lacquer finish. The 339 also sports Gibson’s new Memphis Tone Circuit, which preserves the guitar’s high frequencies no matter where you put the volume control. The guitar will be available exclusively through Musician’s Friend through the end of 2007.
Gator Wireless-2-Go Bag
Gator Cases has released the Wireless-2-Go bag, a case specially tailored to house wireless microphone systems and all related accessories. It features a two unit Polyethylene reinforced 19” rack section with a 13.5” rack depth and four padded compartments to hold microphones with clips attached. The bag also features spots for body pack storage with antennas, 16 foam slots for batteries, and a zippered compartment for lavalier mics, headsets and other accessories. The case features sturdy construction and a shoulder strap for easy travel.

The Mini-Mercury Amplifier takes the electronics and power of their 1x12 Mercury and packs it into a compact 1x10 form. The combo features all-tube reverb, a 3-position boost switch, treble cut switch and a builtin attenuator. 100% hand-wired with a solid pine cabinet built in-house and a 10” Eminence “Lil’ Buddy” hemp cone speaker, the Mini-Mercury’s tones range from lush ‘60s American sparkle to modified, brown ‘70s British crunch.

Roger Linn Design’s new AdrenaLinn III provides amp modeling plus a wide variety of beat synched modulation and delay effects – including innovative looped filter sequences – all synchable to the on-board programmable drum machine or via MIDI. The new model, now with 40 amp models, adds reverb, compression, tuner and enhanced modulation effects. New MIDI enhancements permit control of nearly all settings from MIDI footswitches and expression pedals, and the functions of the two panel footswitches may now be reassigned. User presets and drumbeats have been doubled to 200 each.

T.C. Electronic’s G-Natural is a floor-based multieffects processor designed for acoustic guitar. It features Compression, 3-band parametric EQ, Chorus, Detune, Thicken, Pan, Reverb and Delay. With both a built-in mic preamp and standard instrument inputs, players can choose between using their guitar’s pickup system, mic’ing their guitar with a condenser mic, or mixing both signals using the Mix control. The mic pre can also be used for vocal performance. The G-Natural also features a built-in tuner, digital I/O, expression pedal input and MIDI.

D’Addario XL ProSteels and XL Pure Nickel Strings
D’Addario adds two new string lines to their popular XL series. The XL ProSteels, already successful for basses, will replace the existing XLS Stainless Steel line, while keeping the same gauges. The XL ProSteels use a specially-formulated alloy to deliver a super-bright tone without shrill overtones. The XL Pure Nickel strings recall the sounds of the ‘50s and appeals to pure tone aficionados who strive for a fat, vintage tone. XL Pure Nickel will come in D’Addario’s standard gauges: 110, 120 and 115.
